Ash live edge bowl. 
Locally sourced Ash that has unfortunately succumbed to the tragic Ash dieback, saved from being firewood ( I bought the whole tree)
This ash live edge bowl has been given a burnt (Yakisugi) surface treatment burnished with a soft brush to highlight the grain making this piece very tactile
 It was then stitched across the naturally formed cracks with waxed cotton. 
The piece is finished with Wax.
