Ash Yakisugi Vessel #2 of 8
Crafted from naturally fallen Ash sourced in the picturesque Ribble Valley,
After the bowl  has been turned it was allowed to dry and naturally distort.
Once stabilized, it underwent the traditional Yakisugi process.
A stiff brush was then employed to burnish the grain, transforming it into a really tactile experience.
The piece has been selectively finished in wax pathces, imparting a soft sheen in certain areas and left a natural matt finish in other areas.
